Diane Rudolph Byers 1928 2018

Obituary of Diane Byers Diane Rudolph Byers, age 89, a resident of Gloria Dei Farms in Hatboro, PA and formerly of Willow Grove, PA died on November 12, 2018. She was the devoted wife of the late Jack R. Byers for 43 years until his death in 1992. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Richard W. Rudolph, Sr, and the late Anne E. Reid Rudolph. Diane graduated from Olney High School in 1946. Diane was a dedicated wife, mother, homemaker and grandmother. After raising her family, she began her 15-year career with the Upper Moreland Parks & Recreation Department, from where she retired in 1997. In 1956, she became a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Glenside, where she served on the Altar Guild and volunteered in the thrift shop. She enjoyed reading and was a collector of Teddy Bears and Byers Choice Carolers. She was an avid Bridge and Canasta player. She enjoyed traveling, especially to the shore and attending the theatre and symphonic concerts. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She is survived by her loving sons and their spouses; Stephen and Marsha Byers, Peter Byers and Scott and Britt Byers and by her four grandchildren and two-great grandchildren. Memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 654 N. Easton Road, Glenside, PA, where relatives and friends will be received from 9:15 until the time of the service. Interment will be in Lower Merion Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.
