Obituary for Bruce Edward Trent Bruce Edward Trent, age 60, of Rogersville, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was the son of Dorothy Jarvis Trent and the late Clarence Trent. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Trent. Bruce retired from TRW after more than 31 years of service. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. He was affectionately known as “Jedi” to his grandchildren and was also an avid Vols fan. In addition to his mother, Dorothy Trent, survivors include his loving sons, Bruce W. Trent, Jason Cook and wife Sherri, and Jonas Cook; sister, Brenda Gibson and husband Larry; grandchildren, Abby Rose Trent, Lauren Mclain and husband Zack, Klein Cook, and Jacob Cook; great grandchild, Colton Mclain; nieces, Marla Short and husband Matt, Wendy Gibson, and Theresa Young; nephew, Dusty Riley; great niece, Brynnlee Short; great nephews, Kelan Gilliam, and Colby Short; mother-in-law, Louise Riley; sister-in-law, Suzie Stanley and husband Martin; brother-in-law, Jim Riley and wife Judy. There will be a private service held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Hawkins County Cancer Support Group.
