Obituary for Arthur Edward Kluge Arthur Edward Kluge, 89, of Caldwell, was called home to his Lord on Saturday, November 24, 2018. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 28, from 5 to 7 pm at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Elizabeth Lutheran Church on Thursday, November 29, at 1 pm. Reverend Richard Brunk, Jr. will preside over services with assistance from Pastor Rick Mitchell. Burial will follow at Elizabeth Lutheran Cemetery. Funeral services have been entrusted to Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home of Caldwell. Arthur Edward Kluge was born in Caldwell, TX to Louis and Fredericka (Lina) Kluge on December 25, 1928. He entered in the US Army on August 4, 1948 and learned to be a mechanic. After being Honorably Discharged from his service he married the love of his life Rosie Lee Maresh, on December 22, 1961. Arthur was a Mason by trade and owned his own company laying brick on many structures in Burleson County. He was also a very talented guitar player and would play and sing for family and friends. Arthur enjoy playing dominoes and drinking coffee with friends. He would help anyone out when times were hard, he would give them a job helping him lay bricks or just donate an old bed frame to those in need. Arthur was a lifelong member of the Elizabeth Lutheran Church and was baptized, confirmed and married in his church. Preceding him in death was his parents, Louis and Fredericka (Lina) Kluge; his loving wife, Rosie Lee Kluge; all of his siblings; a son, Vernon Lee; a son-in-law, Dale Heaton Sr.; and a granddaughter, Melody Kluge Caskey. He is survived by four daughters, Teresa Heaton, Nancy Luna and husband Pascual, Kayla Bishop and fiancée Phillip Simpson, and Yutta Vess and husband Daniel; two sons, Milton Kluge and Ernest Kluge; and a step-son Jerry Gage Jr. and wife Paula; eighteen grandchildren, D. J. Heaton, Jennifer Heaton, Amanda Heaton, Justin Heaton, Cheyanna Heaton, Brandon Kluge, Katrina Kluge, Shawn Kluge, Leah Ayers, Chris Luna, Holly Luna, Alexia Luna, Joshua Luna, Terry Bishop, Phillip Simpson III, Angelina Perkkio, Hailey Vess and Dustin Vess; twenty one great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers are Angelina Perkkio, Dustin Vess, Hailey Vess, Brandon Kluge, Terry Bishop, Justin Heaton, and Chris Luna. Honorary pallbearers will be David Valot, Alton Kluge, Jr., Jerry Kocurek, Steven Jennings, Bobby Urbanosky, and Richard Jennings.
