Obituary for Alfred L. Stone Alfred L. Stone, 77, a longtime resident of Rutherford, passed away at home on Thursday 11/15/18. He was born in Hackensack to Alfred S. Stone and Ethel (nee Croker). Alfred was a true Rutherfordian who lived his entire life in Rutherford with his wife Carol and their children. As a young fellow, Alfred proudly entered the United States Army National Guard, 104th Armed Calvary Regiment. Alfred had been employed by E.J. Dupont managing their warehouse in Clifton for over 23 years. Most recently he was a truck driver for Amor Deck in Saddlebrook. For enjoyment, Alfred reveled his ride on his Dana Custom Harley Motorcycle, the quiet of fishing, the sport of hunting and the speed of Nascar. He was an NRA member, an animal lover and an avid reader, He had a soft spot for his cat & pal, Ghost. Alfred will be missed by his devoted wife Carol (nee Hudak), His beloved children Alfred J. Stone & wife Kristy, Drew Steven Stone & wife Diane, grandchildren Drew J. Stone & Sean S.Stone. He is predeceased by his sister Audrey Foehl. Family will receive friends Saturday 11/24/18 from 2:00 to 5:00pm in the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford.
