Obituary of William Schreiber William J. Schreiber passed away on Sunday September 30, 2018, in Elderwood of Lockport. Born in Cheektowaga on April 7, 1915, he was the son of the late Charles and Mary Richter Schreiber. William worked as a repairman for Newtrend Furniture in Amherst for over 60 years. He bowled in the Good Shepherd Bowling League for many years and was an avid sports fan especially the Buffalo Sabres. William also love to travel to Florida with his late wife, Elizabeth (Fagan) Schreiber, who passed away December 28, 2004. William was the father of Diane (late George) Toplenszky, Richard Schreiber, Susan Schlemmer, Dorothy (Jim) Schlemmer, David (Mary Ann) Schreiber, Donna Erickson and the late Carol Ann (late Howard) Albert, Dennis (Marge) Schreiber and Nancy Stover. He is also survived by 33 grandchildren, 67 great grandchildren and 23 great great grandchildren. Beside his wife and three children, William was also predeceased by his sister, Dorothy Schreiber and brother, Charles Schreiber. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Tuesday October 2nd 2-4 and 6-8 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where services will be held on Wednesday October 3rd at 11 AM .
