William Wesley “Bill” Sherman Haslett, Michigan Passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at the age of 86. Born December 27, 1931 to Porter and Irene (Glendenning) Sherman in Lansing, Michigan. Bill was a hard-working man who hired into General Motors at a young age and worked his way up to Supervisor before retiring. Bill enjoyed helping out at social events at Grange Acres where he would grilled food and call bingo. He liked spending time with his dog, Skamper. Most of all, Bill was a family man and he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a selfless man who will be dearly missed by all who remember him. Preceding him in death were his wife, M. Georgina Sherman; great-granddaughter, Ana Maria; eight siblings and his parents. Surviving are his children, Valerie Sherman, William Sherman Jr., Kevin (Denise) Sherman, Lisa Sherman; grandchildren, Kim (Kevin) Ethridge, Rick (Diane) Garnaat, Jennifer (Sid) Waldrop, Grant (Ashley) Sherman, Wes Sherman, Shane Sherman; great grandchildren, David, Evan, Eliana, Ian, Emma, Mason, Landon, Lena; sister, Shirley Campbell, brother-in-law, L.G. Sawdy as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 1pm on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Grange Acres Senior Living in Haslett.
