Walter Hageman 2018

Walter Hageman Scotch Plains Mr. Walter Hageman passed away Thursday October 18th, 2018 at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ. He was 88 years old. Born in Elizabeth, NJ to George and Anna Hageman, Walter had been a Scotch Plains resident for 45 years. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Walter received his Baccalaureate from Rutgers University and his Masters of Science from the Newark College of Engineering. An engineer for AT&T in New Jersey and North Carolina for many years, Mr. Hageman then worked as a plant manager for Nassau Recycling in Staten Island, retiring in 1988. Walter loved to play golf and enjoyed traveling with his wife. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Shirley Hageman; by their daughters, Wendy Sullivan, Bonnie Gajdzisz and husband John, and Trish Brown and husband Peter; by his grandchildren, Sean, Kelly, Ryan, Taylor, and Tommy; and by his brother George Hageman. The funeral service will begin at 11am Saturday October 27th in First United Methodist Church of Scotch Plains 1171 Terrill Road.
