Walter Ralph Pfaff 2018

Walter Ralph Pfaff, 93, of Leech Rd., Greenville (Hempfield Twp.), PA, passed away following a brief illness, early Saturday morning, October 27, 2018 at UPMC Horizon Hospital in Greenville. He was born in Greenville, on March 20, 1925 to the late Walter M. and Goldie (Cooper) Pfaff. While in school, Ralph joined the Navy at age 16 and became a seabee during WWII. He returned home and graduated from Penn High School in 1947. He then worked as an electrician with his father for… Read More » Pfaff Electric, and eventually retired from the maintenance department at Thiel College. While working at Thiel, he refined his trade by taking electrical and refrigeration classes at Vo-Tech. Ralph was a member of Adelphic Lodge 424 of Free and Accepted Masons in Jamestown, and attended the former Kennard Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, and going to his camp in Kane. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, especially attending their sporting events and other activities. Ralph is survived by his wife at home, Charlotte Rodgers. They were married on October 27, 2005. Also surviving are: son, Randy L. Pfaff and his wife, Jane, of Greenville; two grandchildren, Robert C. Studor and his wife, Bonnie, of Hermitage, and Destiny M. Vasbinder and her husband, Brian, of Sewickley, PA; four great grandchildren, Nyla and Quinn Studor, and Kayla and Jace Vasbinder; a brother-in-law, Vaughn Rodgers and his wife, Connie, of Butler; a sister-in-law, Doris Sicignano and her husband, Tom, of Greenville; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and his former spouse, Mildred Irene (Myers) Knecht of Marion, OH. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: a son, Larry R. Pfaff; a sister, Ada Mae Walberg and her husband, James; and a brother, Rev. Lawrence Pfaff,and his wife, Lola. All services are private, and Ralph will be buried at Shenango Valley Cemetery in Greenville.
