Sunset on October 9th, 2018, due to age related illness. Vivian was born in Olney Springs, Crowley County, CO on a farm. Delivered by her Dad, Mel Martin and Doctor Desmond. Moved to Rocky Ford, CO where she attended school and graduated from the High School in 1950. She married Archie Williams and moved to Colorado Springs, CO and then to Denver, CO. She returned to Colorado Springs to be near family who cared for her in her last years. She is predeceased by her father Melvin E. Martin, mother A. Ayna (Bates) Martin, and husbands Marvin Staadt and Archie Williams. Vivian worked various jobs over the years, Hested’s in Rocky Ford, Samsonite Luggage, Gates Rubber Co. and Cherry Creek Golf Club. She and Marvin had a cleaning service and also did home cleaning. She was active all her life in church, played golf and was always doing some sort of crafts, as well as being a Certified Relfexologist. She and Marvin loved playing duets on the accordions at church and senior centers. She is survived by her sisters Patricia J. Martin Bevill of Dallas, Texas and Maryan Martin Schroeder of Colorado Springs, CO; her adopted son Eddie E. Williams, his wife Juanita and his extended family of Parachute, CO; grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 27th, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Bullock Colonial Chapel in Englewood, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Veteran’s Association: va.org/donate Friends and family are encouraged to sign Vivian’s guest book and share memories and/or photos here on Vivian’s obituary.
