Obituary for Terry Paul Smith Terry Paul Smith, a resident of Pauls Valley, OK, was born on March 1, 1943 in Shattuck, OK to Inez Corrine (White) and Joseph Hiram Smith. He passed away October 20, 2018 at outside Pauls Valley at the age of 75. He grew up in the Laverne, OK area until the age of 15 when he moved to Wynnewood and he then graduated high school from Wynnewood in 1962. Went on to college at Panhandle State in Goodwell, OK and received a Bachelor’s Degree in animal science. He worked 31 years as a meat grader for USDA. He married Reta (Hucks) on January 21, 1966 in Joy, OK. He was a member of the Mount Zion Baptist Church east of Wynnewood and was instrumental in helping to build the sanctuary. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, and a great grandson – Silas. He is survived by his wife Reta of the home; 2 sons – Wesley Paul Smith and wife Colleen of Pauls Valley, OK; Jason Wayne Smith and wife Mishel of San Antonio, TX; 2 sisters – Karen Huckabay of Hydro, OK; Juanita Griswold of Wichita, KS; brother – Jimmy Smith of Shawnee, OK; 4 grandchildren – Colt, Maegen, Halley, and Elliot; 2 great grandchildren – Ace and James. Services will be held on Wednesday October 24, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Wynnewood officiated by Rev. Ted Clark, Jr. , Rev. Scott Thomas, and Rev. Ron Isam with burial following at Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood, OK. Visitation will be held on Tuesday October 23, 2018 from 6 to 8 PM at DeArman Funeral Home in Wynnewood.
