Tauveve Matalilo Fanene Jr 2018

Tauveve Matalilo Fanene, Jr., 74, of San Leandro, California, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017. Born in Pago Pago, American Samoa to Tauveve Leauma Fanene and Vaomaolo Solomona Purcell. He is survived by his eternal companion and loving wife of 52 years, Charleen Ku’ualoha (Kua) Fanene and his seven children, Ryan Fanene of Alameda, Neil Fanene (Vanessa May) of San Ramon, Efrem Fanene (Melanie May) of Castro Valley, Lynell Fanene of San Leandro, Angie Supinger (Brian Supinger) of Stockton, Linda Willits (Joe Willits) of Castro Valley, Nancy Fanene (Mark McCann) of Hayward and preceded in death by his son, John Fanene. He is also survived by his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, siblings and friends. Papa will be remembered for his devotion to his family, generosity towards others and his famous banana bread. Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 859 Grant Ave., San Lorenzo, CA 94580 with a family service at 9am, final viewing at 10am, bishop’s service at 11am and laid to rest at Lonetree Cemetery in Hayward.
