Obituary for Shirley Waltine Redd Shirley Waltine Redd, age 80, of Silver Spring, MD formerly of Nokesville, VA passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD. She was born on February 2, 1938 in Bristow, Virginia the daughter of the late Floyd and Omie (Morris) Collier. She was also preceded in death by her brother Wilson Floyd Collier. She was a retired secretary for United Airlines. Survivors include her loving husband, Samuel E. Redd, Sr; one son, Samuel E. Redd, Jr of Catlett, VA; one daughter, Julie C. Edwards of Westminster, MD; two grandchildren, Tyler C. Edwards and Mason A. Edwards both of Westminster, MD; one sister, Janet Hart of Manassas, VA. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00AM Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, VA where funeral services will be held at 11:00AM with Pastor Angela Finet officiating.
