SHIRLEY JEAN HUGHES SIEK 2018

Shirley Jean Siek, 68, passed away peacefully in the early morning of Thursday, October 18, 2018 at home surrounded by loved ones. Shirley was born in Riverton, Wyoming on Sunday, August 13, 1950 the daughter of Glen Lyle and Lois Helen (Robinson) Hughes. She grew up in Riverton, Wyoming, where she met her husband, Dennis. They married on August 8 1970 and began their long life adventure together. After moving around the country with the United States Navy, they finally settled in Douglas, Wyoming in 1977 with their two children. Shirley worked many jobs around town over the years and made many friends with whom she loved to share a good joke, as hopefully everyone will remember! Shirley is survived by her husband, Dennis Siek of Douglas, Wyoming who took care of her lovingly throughout her lengthy illness; brother, Tom Hughes of Riverton Wyoming; sister, Carol Dickinson of Saint George, Utah; son, Ian Siek of Montesano, Washington; daughter, Shawna Snider, of Edmond, Oklahoma; four grandchildren; and one great granddaughter, as well as many in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Memorial services will be held at a later date to be determined. There will be a memorial set up in Shirley’s name for donations to be made to Frontier Home Hospice out of Casper, Wyoming who had a hand in Shirley’s home care. Shirley will be missed greatly for her caring nature and love of life and laughter, thank you to all who shared in that with her and her family.
