OBITUARY Robert L. Belcher August 24, 1934 – October 29, 2018 Robert Lee Belcher of Mt. Olive, AL passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018 at the age of 84. Mr. Belcher was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. He was a member of Mt. Olive First Baptist Church and was retired from National Can Corporation. He served his country proudly as a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He enjoyed being a member of the Birmingham RC (Radio Control) Air Plane Club and spending time with his friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Betty Ruth Belcher and his grandson, Jon Belcher. He is survived by his sons, Michael Belcher (Tina), Keith Belcher (Tracy), and Eugene Belcher (Cindy); a sister, Patricia Sorenson; grandchildren, Josuha Belcher, Austin Belcher, Lindsey Hayden, Jessie Thompson, and Ashley Mathews; great grandchildren, Dylan Belcher, Ellie Belcher, Destiny Belcher, Anna Belcher, Michaelyn Hayden, Lainey Hayden, Yates Hayden, and Taelyn Mathews. Services will be held on Friday, November 2nd, 2018 at 2 PM at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with visitation one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens with U. S.
