Richard L Wright 2018

Richard L. Wright, age 71 of Massillon, passed away at his home on Tuesday, October 16, 2018. He was born on March 19, 1947 in Canton, Ohio and was the son of the late George and Patricia (Riordan) Wright. He was an Air Force veteran and served during the Vietnam War. He then went on to work at Republic Steel. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rick had a passion for genealogy, photography and reading. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson Robert Wright and his sister Patricia Norris. Richard is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ruth (Himes) Wright, his children, Richard (Tiffany) Wright and James (Elizabeth) Wright, Laura (Louis) Quast, Lisa Voshel and Robert (Nicole) Wright. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Tori and Erica, Benjamin and Gabrielle, Erin (Micheal Colvin) and Nathan and Ryley, Kiera and Myrna and his great grandchild Annalea and also his brothers Timothy William Wright and Edward (Lori) Wright. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 22nd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Raymond Paul celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Memorials in Richard’s name may be made to either Aultman Hospice or St. Joseph Catholic Church.
