Rev. David Wayne “Skip” Smith, age 81 of Campbellsburg, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018 at 7:45 pm, in his residence. Born July 5, 1937 in Beech Grove, Indiana, he was the son the late David Oliver and Linda (Spencer) Smith. He was and former brick layer and construction worker, served as the Pastor at Acts Full Gospel Church for 20 years and loved the Indiana Pacers and bowling. On January 17, 1956 he married Phyllis J. (Roberts) Smith, who passed away June 26, 2008. Survivors include: Daughter Nancy Wilder of Campbellsburg 2 Grandsons: Garri (Mary) Smith of New Albany and Isaiah Smith of North Carolina 4 Granddaughters: Caliana Taylor, Jaclyn (Chris) Cowles and Destiny White, all of Campbellsburg and Alyssa Smith of New Albany 2 great grandchildren He was preceded in death by 1 son: Garry Smith, 1 grandson: David White and 1 brother: Bobby Smith. Funeral Service: 12:00 Noon Thursday at Acts Full Gospel Church in Borden Visitation: 10 am until the time of the service on Thursday.
