Obituary for Orville “Lynn” Curby Orville “Lynn” Curby, 76, of Beaverville, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee. He was born on August 17, 1942 in Watseka, the son of Orville M. and Mary Turcot Curby. Lynn married Wanda Boehrnsen on January 11, 1964 in Papineau. Lynn was a veteran of the United States Navy. He retired from CSL Behring. He enjoyed tent camping with his family after his retirement and was very active in the Good Sam Camping Club. He was also a Scout leader. Lynn really enjoyed his monthly dinners with his classmates and his first cousins. Lynn is survived by his wife, Wanda, of Beaverville; one son and daughter-in-law, Donald (Karen) Curby, of Bolingbrook; one daughter, Wendy Flowers, of Iroquois; two grandchildren, Robbie Flowers, of Martinton and Robin (Devin) Statler, of Beaverville; two great grandchildren, Liam and Tanner Statler; and two brothers, Rodger Curby, of Beaverville and Alan Curby, of Watseka. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Clancy-Gernon-Houk Funeral Home in St. Anne. Private burial will take place Thursday at Prairie Dell Cemetery in Iroquois. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
