Nora Burst Ross 1935 2018

Obituary for Nora Burst (Ross) Burst, Nora Louis Ross October 28th, 2018. Beloved wife for 63 years of the late James Leonard Burst. Loving daughter of the late Jules Louis Ross and Mildred Spreck Ross. Mother of James Leonard (Beth) Burst Jr., Jonathan Ross (Ruth) Burst, and Julie Burst (John) Stupp. Grandmother of Jaclynn Burst Smith and James L. Burst, III, Jonathan, Kenneth, Ross and Ruthie Burst, Nora Stupp Coggin, Julie, John, Hallie and Thomas Stupp. Great grandmother of three. Nora was born in St. Louis on March 30th, 1935 and was graduated from Villa Duchesne. Nora was a great bridge player and attained the rank of Bronze Life Master having won over 500 masterpoints, something that we were all very proud of. Nora enjoyed many activities such as golf and tennis and in the latter she was a key partner with her husband Jim in the development and growth of tennis in the St. Louis area. She was devoted to her brother John Spreck Ross, his wife Jody Jackes Ross and their four children. Nora had many lifelong friends and will be positively thought of by all. She was a person of deep faith and was a longtime member of Annunziata Catholic Church. Nora’s life will be celebrated at a memorial service at Ladue Chapel where she will be re-united with her husband, Jim at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 3rd. No visitation prior to the service. Interment private.
