Nancy Mae Starwalt, age 84, of Mattoon passed away at 7:17 p.m. on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center. Private services will be held at a later date. Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the family. Nancy was born on October 1, 1934 in Mattoon the daughter of Harold and Ruth (Cox) VanNote. She married Richard Lee Bridges. He preceded her in death in June 1985. She later married Jim Starwalt. He preceded her in death in April 2001. … Read More » Survivors include her son, Michael Van Bridges; daughter, Marcia (Tony) Orndorff; stepsons, Terry (Judy) Starwalt and Greg (Melissa) Starwalt; grandchildren, Jessica Seals, Tony (Melissa) Orndorff, Theresa (Jarrod) Taylor, Chris (Mandi) Starwalt, Mike (Nikki) Starwalt, Becky (Bobbi) Burris, Connie Coatney, Quincy Watkins, Zach (Megan) Starwalt and Caymen Starwalt; 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild on the way. Nancy worked and retired from the County Clerk’s Office at the Coles County Courthouse. Nancy and Dick loved Florida and move there in 1979. They owned and operated a Deli and Bait Shop in Sanibel Island for several years. Nancy enjoyed playing Bridge and cherished spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Memorial donations in her honor are suggested to the Coles County Animal Shelter, 6818 North County Road 1120 East, Charleston, IL 61920.
