Age 84, of Anoka, Passed away October 25, 2018. Preceded in death by her parents, oldest son Romeo, son Luis Jr. one Brother and two Sisters. Loving Mother of twelve children, Grandmother of fourteen and Great Grandmother of two. Nadia was a homemaker and worked as a Seamstress and Health Worker in Tayug, Pangasinan in the Philippines until she immigrated to the United States in 1992. Nadia was very proud to become a Citizen of the United States in 1997. Nadia loved the Lord and became a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Francis, MN. Nadia continued in her most precious and greatest love in life of caring for and helping to raise not only her own grandchildren but also the children of friends. In her overwhelming joy of serving others, she worked for over 10 years at Old Country Buffet. Nadia’s other passions included gardening and fishing. Nadia suffered a debilitating stroke in July 2014, leaving her substantially paralyzed and requiring full time care, which by the grace of God, and a true blessing we were able to provide at home in Anoka until her passing. Despite her disabilities, she was blessed to maintain and express great joy in seeing her Grand Children. Nadia is survived by Daughters Marlene (Scott), Shirley, Amalia (Tomas), Daisy (Renato), Carmelita, May (Angelo), Noemeliza (Aldrich) and Ginalene (Scott), Sons Mario and John (Irene), Grand Children and Great Grand Children. Funeral Service 6:00 PM, Visitation 4:00 PM- 6:00 PM on Tuesday, October 30 at Miller Funeral Home at 7398 University Ave. NE, Fridley, MN 55432. Nadia expressed her desire to be returned to the Philippines upon her passing and to be interred with her husband Luis in Tayug Public Cemetery. Cremation was requested to facilitate her wishes.
