Obituary for Miriam Geib (Stutzman) Miriam J. “Jane” Geib, age 84, of Wooster, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, September 29 at Danbury Senior Living in Wooster following a long illness. Her family and friends were by her side. She was born on November 30, 1933, in Walnut Creek, Ohio to Willis and Eliza (Miller) Stutzman. She was married to Richard Wayne Geib for 61 years, who preceded her in death in 2014. Jane attended West Hill Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, watching Cleveland Indians and Cavaliers games, and traveling with her family. She is survived by her daughters, Ruthann Geib (Paul Schmutzler) of Alexandria, VA, and Jean (Craig) Balloon of Canton, and her grandchildren Alex Balloon of Philadelphia, PA and Allison Balloon of Canton, OH.; sisters, Anna Mae Miller of Walnut Creek,OH. and Harriet (Merle) Sommers of Berlin, OH. Her parents and husband preceded her in death. The family would like to thank the following friends and family who were such a special blessing to Jane and her family: Roger and Loretta Bauer, Keith and Cheryl Chenevey, Roger and Jenifer Miller, Beth, Dwight and David Souder, Harold and Margaret Miller, Ruth Ann Shetler, Carol Moon, Tim and Ruth Hershberger, Karen and Greg Bright, Sundee Porter, Jim and Jennifer Gray, and the incredibly compassionate staff of Danbury Woods of Wooster and Lifecare Hospice, and the members of Steve’s Class at 11 of Westhill Baptist church. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 4, from 6-8 pm at West Hill Baptist Church, 2241 Mechanicsburg Rd., in Wooster. A private interment will take place on Friday morning, October 5, at Moreland Cemetery followed by a Celebration Of Life Service at 11 a.m. at West Hill Baptist Church. Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster is honored with serving the family.
