Michael B. Murray, 60, of Maidsville, passed away early Thursday morning, October 25, 2018 at JW Ruby Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. He was born June 9, 1958, a son of the late Bueal and Wilma Arelene Smith Murray. Survivors include his children, Michele Henderson and her husband, Dustin, and Anna Marie Adams; two grandchildren, Alexis and Alexx Henderson; his siblings, Wilma Dalton and her husband Jack, Edward Murray, Randall Murray and his wife Alicia, and Bruce Orinick; his step-children, Minnie Boles and her husband Shannon, and Terry Hilling and his wife Carla, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Ray Murray. Michael retired from West Virginia University. He enjoyed watching the Mountaineers and Pittsburgh Steelers. In his free time, he loved being able to spend time with his family and friends. Friends may join the family to honor Michael’s life and legacy at Smith Funeral & Cremation Care, 108 Holland Ave., Morgantown, on Monday, October 29th from 12 Noon until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 PM officiated by Pastor Dan Meadows. Following the funeral service, Michael’s request for cremation will be honored by his family.
