Obituary for Mary Louise Irick Mary Louise Irick, 94, of Anderson, went to be with the Lord on October 28, 2018. She was born on July 5, 1924 in Boone County, and resided most of her life in Anderson. She had a brief career as a secretary before she became a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. She was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church, where she taught the preschool Sunday school class for over 40 years. Mary also loved to bake, and sew a number of different items for people including wedding dresses, prom dresses, etc. Mary is survived by her loving children, Peggy (Vince) Flecker and David (Teresa) Irick; grandchildren, Jenny (Morris) Chaney, Rachel (Mike) Donahue, Ryan (Jessica) Barker, Adam Barker; Allison (William) Hill, Christopher (Heather McDavid) Irick, and Kyle (Kristen King) Shields; and 14 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters, Anna Mae Hartsock, Margaret Hawkins, Glorena Goode, and Clara Brace; close family friend, Trinna Solomon, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Charles R. Irick; daughter, Joyce Weber; parents, Firm and Edna Highland; brothers, Eugene Highland and Samuel Highland; and sister, Martha Rose Harmon. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 1, 2018, 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Meadowbrook Baptist Church, 119 E. 36th St., Anderson, IN. Services will follow visitation at 11:00 am at the church with Pastor Dennis Zirkle officiating. Burial will take place in the Anderson Memorial Park.
