Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Luke Powell passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018. He was born on March 11, 1934 in Fredricksburg, to Joseph Daniel and Betsey Elizabeth Lane Powell. He served in the US Army and was a mechanic. He is survived by his daughter Dee Brown and husband Lee; grandchildren Christopher Bee, Donny Golden, Barbara Jo Casey, Marion R. Bryson; 5 great grandchildren; sister Babe Gregston; nieces and nephews and host of other relatives and friends and his beloved dog Sniffle. He is preceded in death by both wives Pat Powell and Lela F. Powell Surginer and son Avery M. Powell and 11 siblings.
