Obituary for Loren Wayne Rice Loren Wayne Rice, 72, of Eldon went to be with Lord on Monday, October 29, 2018, surrounded by his family at home. He was born on March 1, 1946 in Ashland, Missouri the son of Robert Lewis and Lois Pearl (Dozier) Rice, who preceded him in death. He was united in marriage on October 7, 1983 in Columbia, Missouri to Tami Rodgers, who survives of the home. He was the owner and operator of Midtown Car Care in Eldon from 1986-2018 with his wife, Tami. His love for people and his generous smile will be truly missed by all of those he served throughout the years. Loren loved the Lord. He was a faithful member of the New Life Assembly of God Church with his wife, Tami by his side. He enjoyed hunting with his grandchildren and the peace the outdoors brought to his soul. He was a avid fan of St. Louis Cardinals Baseball and cheered for them even through the rough times. Most of all, Loren loved and treasured his family. The memories they made will be forever cherished and remembered. He is also survived by one son: Matthew (Heidi) Rice of Camdenton; two daughters: Leslie (Donnie) Bittle of Eugene and Amber Buzzell of Kentucky and four grandchildren: Caitlyn, Caleb, Megan, and Natalie. He was also preceded in death by one brother: Larry Rice and one sister: Faye Robinett. Family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at New Life Assembly of God Church in Barnett. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at New Life Assembly of God Church with Rev. J. D. Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow at Greenmoore Memorial Gardens in Barnett. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the New Life Assembly of God Church.
