OBITUARY Lorayne D. Saunders May 29, 1922 – October 27, 2018 Lorayne D. Saunders, age 96, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Fort Wayne. Mrs. Saunders was born on May 29, 1922 in San Francisco, CA to Harry Thomas and Mildred Julia (Dahmke) Darr. Lorayne graduated from Mission High School in San Francisco. She then continued her education where she earned a degree from a business college in San Francisco. On December 29, 1945, she married Hollis S. Saunders. Lorayne was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family and loved ones. Survivors include her sons; Stephen (Randa) Saunders of Fort Wayne, Douglas (Joanna) Saunders of St. Louis, and daughter-in-law, June Jackson of Glasgow, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, Scott Saunders. Services will be held at a later date in Glasgow, KY. Memorial donations may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
