Linda L. Columbus, 69, of Harrisburg, PA, passed away October 17, 2018 at UMPC Osteopathic Hospital. She was the wife of her loving husband Thomas G. Columbus, Sr. of 46 years. Born on May 6, 1949 in Harrisburg. She was the daughter of the late John V. and Evelyn M. (Kennedy) Rock. Linda was a 1967 graduate of Perry Joint High School. She met the love of her life , while working at Kmart were she worked in the hardware, he a strapping lad who worked as a stocker. He was hooked at the first glance at her big baby Blue eyes. Linda loved everyone and tried to help anyone , who asked of her. Even though the last two years of her life were a struggle she never lost her love for life , Rock & Roll, a good steak and the love of her family and friends. In addition to her husband Thomas, she is survived by her sons, Paul, Brad, Thomas II and Jason; a daughter, Christine; grandsons, Tony and Jacob; a granddaughter, Rachel; a brother, James and sisters, Joan, Mary Jean, Judy, Sandy and Sharon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Rock, Jr.; a granddaughter, Mary E. Columbus and her best friend Rosemary Brown. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018, 12 p.m., at Zimmerman-Auer Funeral Home, Inc., 4100 Jonestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17109. Viewing 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation in her name to the Special Olympics or to the American Diabetes Association.
