Obituary for Kathryn “Kathy” Marie Bernard Ollis Durham Kathryn “Kathy” Marie Bernard Ollis Durham, 56, of Bluff City, TN went home to be with the Lord after a long battle with cancer on Saturday, October 20, 2018. She was the daughter of Clara Anderson and step-father, Andy, of Bristol, TN. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Gary and Tony Bernard and her father, Tommy Bernard. Kathy is survived by one son, Michael Ollis and wife Heather of Johnson City, TN; one step-daughter, Brook Booher of Oak Ridge, TN; three grandchildren, Megan and Amy Ollis of Johnson City, TN and Chance Ollis of Oak Ridge, TN; one sister, Connie Huffman of Bluff City, TN; four nieces, Angela Musser, husband Matthew and son Deven of Bristol, VA, Dr. Lora Phelps, husband Brian and daughter Lee Ann of Bluff City, TN, Lisa Morrell, husband Barry and sons Caleb and Alex of Bristol, TN, and Leslie Huffman of Bluff City, TN; aunts, Elsie Schilling of Dalton, IL, Doryce Wood of Bluff City, TN, Jo Leab of Bristol, VA, and Ruth Shuttle of MA; several cousins; and special caretaker and family friend, Carol Hall. A Gathering of Remembrance will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Lynwood Bible Church, 71 Lynwood St., Bristol, TN with Pastor Benny Bowman officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be sent to the American Cancer Society, 2840 Electric Rd., Suite 106A, Roanoke, VA 24018.
