Obituary for Judith Ann Bowlen Judith Ann Bowlen passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on the 17th of October 2018. Judith was born October 5, 1931 into the family of Herschel Hull Corbin and Goldie Florence Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Lowell and her son Donald Keith and one grandchild Natalie Ann. Her surviving children and spouses include Tish & Wallace Maddox, Dick & Sherrie Bowlen, David Bowlen,and Rev. Darin & Diana Bowlen all of Bloomington, IN and Debra Easton, Ray & Sandra Bowlen and Rusty & Sherry Bowlen,all of Jacksonville NC. She is survived by 24 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren. She was also survived by the wife and family of her nephew Donald Grubb, and the brothers and sisters and their families of her late husband Richard Bowlen. Judith was an L.P.N. and worked at the hospital and several nursing homes for over 30 years. She was the Valedictorian of her nursing class which was the second class ever at Ivy Tech. She was an active member of the Blackwell Pentecost Church. She loved her church and had a big heart for Missions. She was also proud of the fact that she had 2 sons in the ministry. She had also worshiped at Sanders Pentecostal Church, First United Pentecostal Church of Jacksonville, NC and 1st Church of the Nazarane. Services will be 12:00 pm Tuesday October 23, 2018 at the Blackwell Pentecostal Church 9018 S. Chapel Hill Rd. Bloomington. Pastors Darin Bowlen and Joe Nelson will officate the service, Jenny Axsom will give a Eulogy and the IU Health Nursing Honor Guard will also conduct services. Burial will follow at Clear Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday October 22, 2018 from 4-8 pm at the church and again on Tuesday from 11:00 am until service time. Judith’s family would like to thank the Nurses and Staff at Golden Living Center for the care they gave their mother.
