Mr. John Henry “Chop Chop” Cato was born on June 16, 1943 in Florence, South Carolina. He was the son of Charlie and Sarah Jane Robinson Cato. He departed this earthly life on Saturday, October 6, 2018. John was educated in the public schools of South Carolina, and was formerly employed with and retired from Jordan Furniture Company after 45 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Cato; and his brothers: Charlie, Joe Louis, Herman and Willie Cato. He leaves to cherish his memories: three sisters: Christine Cato Parker, Annie Cato Taylor and Shirley Cato Sansbury, all of Florence, SC; one brother, Lester Cato; one special sister-in-law, Betty Cato of Florence, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
