DIANA: Memorial Services for John Willis Howell, Jr, 67, of Diana will be at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at New Hope Baptist Church in Ore City, with Reverend Tony Pierce and Rick Martin officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. Interment will be at Bear Creek Cemetery in Linden, Texas. He passed away on October 5, 2018 at his residence. John was born January 12, 1951 in Conroe, Texas to John Willis Howell, Sr. and Virginia Juanice… Read More » Howell. He was Stock Room Production Manager at General Dynamics and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. John is survived by his wife Martha Ann Howell, sons: Lonnie Howell and wife Rebecca and Corey Hicks, daughters: Denise Hicks, Tedi White and husband James and Brenda Davis and husband Michael, brother: James Howell, sister: Juanice Willingham, grandchildren: Cristina Jackson, Nicole Battles, Corbin Howell, Cailin Sneed, Cade Hicks, and Kaylee Hicks, great-grandchildren: Hunter Battles, Makenzie Battles, Bentley Jackson, Hadley Sneed and Brooklyn Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister: Jauquita Howell. The family would like to extend a thank you to Heartsway Hospice in the care of their loved one.
