John J Doyle John J. Doyle, born October 2, 1928, Brooklyn, New York and passed away surrounded by his loving family, September 27, 2018. After high school, he joined the Marines and later married the love of his life, Lorna Doyle. She states “He was the best husband a woman could ever have”. He was a wonderful caring father and an amazing grandfather. He is greatly missed by his family. There are many fond memories of him and how caring he was. He was kind and loving to everyone. Anytime, family dropped by, he always offered to a cook meal. There were many hunting trips and trips to New York. He loved to decorate his house for holidays. His favorites were Halloween and Christmas. He was an avid reader, collector, and had a great love for history and Hollywood Bios. He is preceded in death by his parents, Helen Overton and John J. Doyle, and his son, Michael Doyle. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, daughter, Claudia Clough, and son, Carlton (Mona) Doyle. Also five grandchildren, Michael D. (Jeanette) Hanney, Brett Hanney, Casey Murphy, Tony Doyle, eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. The family would like to express their gratitude for the loving care he received from Melissa and David with Caregiver Support Network. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah. Friends may visit with family Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton. favorite_border Donations Pledges
