John Henry Oakley January 17 1925 October 27 2018 (age 93)

John Henry Oakley, widower of Iris Collard Oakley, of Lancaster, formerly of Mt. Sterling, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018. He was a 93 year old native of Preston, Kentucky, son of the late John and Ada Ingram Oakley, a retired Army veteran, construction worker and farmer and a member of the Christian faith. He is survived by a daughter, Iris Ann Caldwell, 5 sons, John P. (Vicky) Oakley, Henry A. (Julie) Oakley, Mike (Pam) Oakley, Larry (Donna) Oakley and Dennis (Missy) Oakley, 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, James and Charles Oakley, 5 sisters, Carrie, Mildred, Mary Belle, Betty Jean and Ella Mae, and 2 grandchildren, Jake and Grant Thomas Oakley. His funeral will be 11:00 Thursday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals with burial in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8:00 Wednesday.
