He was known to his family and friends for being very loving, hospitable, and for his willingness to help others in need. He was loved by many and will be truly missed. Mr. Benavidez was preceded in death by his father, Jose Maria Benavidez; mother Florinda Zapata Benavidez; three sisters, Manuela DeLeon, Alicia Hernandez, and Maria Suarez; two brothers, Amado Benavidez, and Reynaldo Benavidez. He is survived by his wife Anita Benavidez, of 58 years and one brother Ramon Benavidez of Tulia, Texas; children, Angel Benavidez and wife Deborah of Portland, Oregon; Eva Upfold and fiance Charlie Valadez of Brownwood, Texas; Jesse Benavidez and wife Thelma of Abilene, Texas; Tony Benavidez and wife Norma of Abilene, Texas; Henry Benavidez of Abilene, Texas; five grandchildren, Cody Upfold; Amber Johnson and husband Robbie; Adrian Benavidez and wife Danielle; Jacob Benavidez and wife Danielle (Rie); Zenida Paradise; 6 great grandchildren, Peyton Upfold, Laila Benavidez, Asher Johnson, Lucas Benavidez, Pierson Upfold, Larson Upfold, and numerous nieces and nephews.
