Obituary for Joanne Schafer (Latz) Joanne E. Schafer, age 67 of Dagsboro, DE formerly of Baltimore, MD passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at her home. She was born in Baltimore, MD on December 12, 1950 daughter of the late Frank Latz and Margaret (Bankert) Latz. Joanne worked as a dental assistant for Dr. John Barry and Dr. Howard Prey until her retirement and moved to Delaware in 2006. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Doyle. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, John H. Schafer; a daughter, Nichole Kleinota and two grandchildren, Chris and Evan Kleinota. Joanne is also survived by five nieces, Donna Atwater, Carol Kepner, Jennifer Grygilk, Jaime Plunkert and Jessie Plunkert and six nephews, Michael Doyle, Joseph Doyle, Michael Schafer, Joseph Schafer, III, Karl Schafer and Jamison Schafer.
