He was preceded in death by his parents Gene Mickles Sr. and Lillie Parnell. He is survived by his children, Tiffany Fields and Thomas Mickles; four grandchildren; brother, Gene Mickles Jr. (Peggy); and stepparents, Eugene Parnell and Nancy Mickles.
