Jim Chadwell, 94, of Christian Health Center died at 2:52 a.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Christian Health Center. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Tom Steiner and Rev. Kim Zarley officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour Thursday at the funeral home. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. A native of Madison, IN he was born February 14, 1924 the son of the late George Turner Chadwell and Ida Mae Flint Chadwell. He was a retired plant manager for Magnavox. He was a United States Army Air Corp veteran having served in World War II. He was a member of First Christian Church in Hopkinsville, KY. Prior to becoming a member of First Christian Church in Hopkinsville he had served as an elder at First Christian Church in Greeneville, TN and Princeton, KY. He was a member of the VFW. He was preceded in death by his wife: Jean B. Chadwell; and two sisters. Survivors include his sons: Mike (Margo) Chadwell of Hopkinsville, KY and Kevin (Janice) Chadwell of Reidsville, NC; his brother: George (Betty) Chadwell of Greensburg, IN; his sister: Lucille Donica of Shelbyville, IN; 4 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
