OBITUARY Jennifer Lynne Beckwith February 7, 1972 – September 30, 2018 Jennifer Lynne Beckwith, 46, of Oneonta, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at home, surrounded by family, after a very courageous battle with cancer. She was born on February 7, 1972 in Oneonta, the daughter of Charles Jr. and Patricia (Hazel) Washburn. A life-long area resident and graduate of St. Mary’s Catholic School and Oneonta High School, Jenn also attended and graduated from Otsego Area School of Practical Nursing. She worked as an LPN for many years at Otsego Physical Medicine. She was known by many as a dedicated and hard-worker who loved her job. Jenn cared about everyone and was especially passionate about her children and family. Jennifer was also associated with the Spirit and Truth Ministries. She enjoyed camping with her friend Lisa, taking long rides with her dad, and loved to decorate for the holidays. She is survived by her children, Stephanie Lynne Whitehead, Bradley Charles Beckwith, and Jordan Charles Rubin; her parents, Charles A. Jr. and Patricia L. Washburn; her fiancé, Dennis Rubin, Sr.; sisters, Danielle Washburn, and Diana Washburn and her son Lucino Rizza; paternal grandmother, Philomena Washburn; good friend, Robert Beckwith; step-children, Dennis Jr., James, and Louis Rubin; Aunt Dolly; Uncle Gary; Uncle Poncho; cousins Freddie and Chrissy; and many, many friends. Friends are invited to greet the family on Friday, October 19, 2018 from 5-7 pm, at the Lester R. Grummons Funeral Home, 14 Grand Street, Oneonta, NY, where a prayer service will take place immediately following. Interment will take place at a later date in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Emmons.
