Ivan Swick July 5 1932 October 24 2018 (age 86)

Ivan Swick, also known as Michael Chamberlain, 86, of Niles, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Autumn Hill Care Center. He was born July 5, 1932 in Cortland, the son of Lester and Edna (Drake) Swick, and had lived in the area all his life. A graduate of Kinsman High School, Ivan retired from the Hartford Schools as a custodian. Before that, he had worked for Glauber Brass and Kraft Creamery in Kinsman, and for the State of Ohio. He attended Central Christian Church and was very fond of birds, animals, and all nature. He also enjoyed board games, watching sports on television, listening to the radio, reading his Bible, and keeping his diary. He is sadly missed by his sister, Leona Fisher, and her companion Roy Reeves; and by many nieces, nephews, and their families. Preceding him in death are his parents; two sisters, Ermal Fenn and Lois Swick; and five brothers: Gale, Rollin, Francis “Jack”, Merle “Cy”, and Donald “Don” Swick. Services are 11:00 am Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Cortland. Friends may call 10:00 to 11:00 am Saturday at the funeral home. Material contributions may be made to the Trumbull County Animal Welfare League, 812 Youngstown-Kingsville Road S.E., Vienna, Ohio 44473.
