Ida Lou Jenkins Wright October 27 1948 September 30 2018 (age 69)

Age 69 of Wheelersburg, went to be with the Lord September 30, 2018 at her home. She was born October 27, 1948 in Portsmouth to Clifford and Mary Lea (Payne) Jenkins. Ida graduated from Minford High School, class of 1966. She was a long-time hairdresser who owned Trendsetters in Portsmouth and retired after 39 years. She attended Sciotoville Christian Church, loved Bingo, football, cooking, and gardening. She was a very outgoing and positive person who dearly loved her family and her dog, Lady. She is survived by one son, Dale Wright of Wheelersburg; four grandchildren, Emilie (Justin) Sharp of Wheelersburg, Tori Wright of Wheelersburg, Brittney and Brooklyn Iriarte, both of Nashville, TN; two sisters, Alice Elizabeth Bauer and Mary Susan (Gary) Canter, both of Wheelersburg; one brother; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Melissa “Missy” Iriarte, and one brother, Cleo Dale Jenkins. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in Wheelersburg with Pastor Steve Falls officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call Tuesday from 5 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home and Wednesday one hour before the service.
