Obituary for Gladys Ritterbusch (Cook) Maryville, Mo. – Gladys M. Ritterbusch, 99, of Maryville, died Sunday, September 30, at Oak Pointe of Maryville. She was born March 25, 1919 near Maryville, a daughter of the late Earl W. and Mabel Humphrey Cook. She was a graduate of Maryville High School and Northwest Missouri State Teachers College, Maryville. On March 22, 1945, she married Louis H. Ritterbusch at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. He died in 1987. She married William Bedford Dysart March 3, 1990, in Savannah, where they lived until his death in 1998. Mrs. Ritterbusch was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Maryville, several civic and cultural organizations in Maryville, and bridge clubs in both Maryville and Savannah. She worked for the Strong, Strong & Prokes law firm in Maryville from 1959 until 1990. She is survived by her son, Karl Ritterbusch, and his wife, Linda, Maryville, and her children, Traci (Brian) Davenport, Maryville, Jami Briet, Midwest City, OK, and Ryan (Holly) Hill, Maryville, and seven great-grandchildren, and her son, Robert Ritterbusch, also of Maryville. Other survivors include her nieces, Sherry (Paul) Reiger, Falls City, NE, and their children, Kevin and Kara; a niece, Virginia Gergen, and a nephew, William E. Gergen, both of Geneva, NE, and the children of Mr. Dysart, Berttis B. (Fran) Dysart, Woodlawn Park, CO, and Marilyn J. (James) Merritt, Lexington, KY, and their families. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 3, at Hope Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at Miriam Cemetery, Maryville. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Lutheran Church or SSM Hospice of Maryville.
