Obituary for Gino Mastro Gino Vincent Mastro, 43, a lifelong area resident, died on September 30, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Carmel, NY on July 28, 1975, Gino was the son of Robert Mastro and Rita (Brandt) Mastro. He had worked in sales at Verizon and Friendly Honda. Gino enjoyed golfing, skiing and fishing. He was a diehard sports fan, and he loved all of the New York teams – the Yankees, Giants, Rangers and Knicks. Gino is survived by his father, Robert Mastro and his wife Patty Wolfe Mastro of Fishkill; his mother, Rita Mastro of Wappingers Falls; his fiancé, Kusam Singh and her children, Karamveer, Kiran and Priyanka Singh of Hyde Park; his siblings, Anthony and Patti (Shackelton) Mastro of Tampa, FL, and Lisa Kanzler of Wallkill; his sister-in-law, Lois Mastropole; and his nieces and nephews, Rene and Andrew Kanzler, Anthony and Nicole Mastro, Robert and Nicholas Mastropole, and Jon and James Shackelton. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Mastropole, on July 31, 2018. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 6-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. The Funeral Service will be on Thursday at 10am at the Funeral Home followed by interment in Fishkill Rural Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
