Obituary for Georgena “Jean” Burns (Kleinschmidt) THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE CARING FOR AND ASSISTING THE FAMILY OF GEORGINA BURNS WATERBURY – Georgena M. (Kleinschmidt) Burns, 90, of Waterbury, passed away at home on Saturday, October 27, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Eugene Wayne Burns. Mrs. Burns was born June 27, 1928, in Merrill, WI, daughter of the late Ernst and Millicent Kleinschmidt. She met her husband in Chicago, IL, while he was serving in the Navy. She relocated to Waterbury with him. She retired from Saint Mary’s Hospital and had also worked for Traveler’s Insurance Company, Arlan’s Dept. store and other companies while in Chicago. She was a parishioner of St Francis Xavier Church. Georgena is survived by her children, Wayne Burns and his wife Teri, of Tucson, Arizona, Linda Burns of Waterbury, Elaine Tiroletto of North Haven, Robert Burns and his wife, Kathy, of Waterbury, John Burns and his wife, Ann, of Suwanee, Georgia, James Burns of Waterbury; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters and several brothers. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 2 2018 at 9:30 am from Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home, 1987 East Main Street, Waterbury, to St. Francis Xavier Church 625 Baldwin St Waterbury to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. Relatives and friends may visit with Georgena’s family on Friday morning from 8:30 till 9:30 am.
