Gayl L. Freeborn of Parker, CO, age 78, passed away on October 27, 2018 at her daughter Michelle’s home in Elizabeth, CO. Gayl was born June 18, 1940 in Colorado to Vernon and Vera (Miller) Roggow. She married Jack Freeborn on February 9, 1957. Gayl is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Freeborn Smith and Michelle Freeborn Cary, her grandchildren, Amber Lawson, Austin Lawson, Jackie Freeborn and Derek Freeborn as well as 10 great-grandchildren, and sister, Sharon Roggow Ritter. Gayl was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Freeborn, daughter, Renee Freeborn, son Dwyane Freeborn. Gayl’s passion was cooking and baking. Christmas was her favorite time of the year. She would do her baking at her daughter Michelle’s house for the Holidays. She baked for two weeks every year. I know we all enjoyed her treats. A private Celebration of Life will be held. The family suggests donations in Gayl’s memory be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
