Fred Randolph Barrow, Sr. surrounded by his family, passed peacefully onto the golden streets of heaven. He was born in Martinsville on October 21, 1924 to the late Everett Franklin Barrow and Mary (Molly) Lovell Barrow. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Stephen Carl Barrow and Fred Randolph (Randy) Barrow Jr., a great-granddaughter Madalyn Renee Drane; sister, Sarah Janet Barrow; brother, Everett Lovell Barrow; and a brother in-law, Claude Newton. Mr.… Read More » Barrow served proudly in the United States Army during World War II. He worked for many years as Operations Manager for Roy Stone Transfer. He owned and operated Professional Service Exchange. Mr. Barrow was also a member of Starling Avenue Baptist Church for more than 50 years. Mr. Barrow is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dale Matthews Barrow of the home; two sons, Stewart Kyle Barrow of Martinsville and Jeffrey Dale Barrow and his wife Sharon of Martinsville, VA; daughter-in-law, Jane Barrow Galiger of Bassett; three sisters, Clara Irene Barrow Newton of Greensboro NC, Mary Jane Barrow Price and husband William Dalton of Martinsville VA, and Eleanor Franklin Barrow Joyce and her husband Thomas of Mechanicsville VA. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel. Officiating will be The Reverend Thomas L. Joyce, and Pastors Brian and Ashley Harrington. Visitation will be on Monday, October 8, 2018 from 6-8pm at Norris Funeral Service, Martinsville Chapel and other times at the residence at 4406 Sunset Dr. Martinsville VA 24112.
