Obituary of Flannan Hehir Flannan Hehir of West Nyack passed away at his home 10/18/2018. He was born 12/7/1933 in Monmore Kilrush Co. Clare to the late Michael and Anne Hehir. He was retired from the New York City transit Authority in 1985 and the Clarkstown Central school District transportation department 1999. He was predeceased by his wife Bridget(Lovett), his sisters Mary Gannon, Philomena Moynihan, Margaret Hehir and stepmother Elizabeth. He is survived by his children Joanne Dinan (Dave) Martin (Evelyn), Margaret Sabbagh (Bill), Flannan II (Helen) and Michael (Kerin). His siblings one sister Nancy Boylan and seven brothers Patrick, Martin, Michael, Joe, John, Tommy. He was the proud grandfather of 16, James, Martin, Olivia, Lauren, Evelia, Joseph, Scott, Flannan III , Patrick, Danny, Bridget, Brendan, Liam,Neve , Eamon and Declan. One great grandchild McKenna Hehir. A mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, October 22, 2018,10 AM at Saint Anthony’s Shrine Church burial to follow in Saint Anthony ‘s Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday, October 21, 2018 2-4 and 6-8.

  1. Sincere sympathies from Eamon(nephew) and Deirdre Hehir, Kilrush, Co. Clare, Ireland. Flan was always full of stories about his childhood in Ireland whenever he visited Kilrush. Fond memories of trips to Scattery Island and Loop Head with Flan.
