Estelle Vivian Loftus 2018

Estelle Vivian Loftus, age 94 passed away peacefully on September 27, 2018 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law. She was born July 7, 1924 in Egg Harbor City, New Jersey. Estelle, along with her husband Jack, became a resident of Jacksonville, Florida in 1951 where she was a member of the Ortega United Methodist Church and the Riverside Chapter of the Eastern Star #218. She was retired from the Bank of America. She will be remembered for her sweet and kind heart and always putting others first. She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years John R. Loftus. Estelle was born to Harold A. and Hannah E. Maxwell who preceded her in death along with one brother Harold A. Maxwell, Jr. and two sisters Violet Gaupp and Adelia Tumas. She is survived by her son John R. Loftus, Jr. (Janie) and granddaughter Kendall A. Loftus, all of Baton Rouge, La. Funeral services will be held a 11:00 am with visitation beginning at 10:00 am Tuesday, October 2, 2018 in the chapel of Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL. Interment will follow in the Garden of the Masonic at Jacksonville Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Baton Rouge, 3600 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, La 70806.
