Edward Joseph Pop Snyder 1949 2018

Obituary for Edward “Pop” Snyder Edward Joseph “Pop” Snyder, 69, of Grantsville, WV, escaped this mortal realm on Monday, October 1, 2018. Pop, fatigued by obituaries, wanted it known that he died as a result of being stubborn, refusing to follow doctors’ orders and being just plain ornery and mean for more than six decades. He loved music, women, cooking and westerns; not necessarily in that order. He was born July 1, 1949, a son of the late Peter Joseph Snyder and Delcie “Peggy” Spurrier (Teal). He was also preceded in death by his sister Delcie “Susan” Spurrier. Pop is survived by four sons: Jeff (Angel), Paul (Ann), Josh (Tammy) Campbell and John Snyder; and two daughters Kristy Gower and Shannon (Joe) May. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Pop was proud to serve in the United States Army and was recognized as a sharpshooter. Following his wishes no public visitation or service will be held, a private family service will take place at a later date. POP will be greatly missed.
