Edmund Frank Chip Grefrath Jr 1957 2018

Obituary of Edmund Grefrath, Jr. Edmund F. Grefrath Jr., 61, died Monday, October 15, 2018, at his home in Brighton, CO. He will be forever remembered for his kind heart and love for his family. Edmund was born April 29, 1957 to Edmund F. and Patricia M. (Kountz) Grefrath in Stillwater, OK. He graduated from Fairview High School, Boulder, CO in 1976. Edmund worked for Boulder Community Hospital in food services for over 20 years, until he retired. Edmund enjoyed being a Boy Scout and participating in Special Olympics, bringing home gold and silver medals in track and field and competing in basketball. He had a keen interest in all things aerospace, from military planes, to helicopters and armored cars, to space exploration. He loved war movies and an eclectic array of music. Edmund was an avid bike rider and loved spending holidays with family. Edmund is survived by sisters Janet Alura Grefrath; Lisa Helen Grefrath (Richard James Wisotzkey); Jacqueline Margaret (Michael Allen) Cole; Honorary Sister, Susanne Brooke Jones, Georgia; Brother-in law, Daniel G. Wisotzkey, Lafayette, CO; Niece, Sarah Elizabeth (Cody James) Basden, Westminster, CO; Nephew Daniel Grier Wisotzkey, Lafayette, CO; Great Niece Audalina Sophia Basden, Westminster, CO; Aunt Rita Conradina Kliethermes (John), Minnesota. He was preceded in Death by his mother, Patricia M. Grefrath and father, Edmund F. Grefrath; sisters Mary Teresa Wisotzkey and Kathleen Anne Grefrath. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, October 27, at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 6739 South Boulder Road, Boulder, CO 80303.
