Earl Clayton Flannagin June 8 1930 October 18 2018 (age 88)

Earl Clayton Flannagin, 88, of Lexington, passed away on October 18, 2018 at Mitchell Hollingsworth Rehab. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Korean War. He retired from Reynold’s and he was a member of Killen Baptist Church. Visitation will be Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 2 -3 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother David McKelvey officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Madgie Flannagin; brothers, Hershel and Nolan Flannagin; sisters, Elsie Posey, Bessie Howard and Selma Terry; son-in-law, Jimmy Thomas. Survivors include his daughter, Geanice Thomas and Joan Wiginton (Connie); brother, Billy Joe Flannagin; grandson, Adam Thomas; granddaughters, Bridgett Thomas (Mario), Lindsey West and Lauren Harbin; great-grandchildren, Ivy, Amity, and Mayes White, R. J. West, Alex Harbin, and Eli Peden. Friends from Killen Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers. The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Wampler and Dr. Lyman Mitchell.
